Our Therapy Practice

Soul Sisters Training & Consultation was founded on a real-life soul sister connection. We have been dear friends for over 15 years, and business partners  at Integrated Community Therapists for almost 10 years, a mental health practice nestled in the northside of downtown Iowa City, IA. We co-own with two other amazing therapists, who we are also our Soul Sisters. (Yes we know that is a lot of connection!).

As IFS and EMDR Therapists, over the past decade, we have been implementing IFS interventions into the 8 phases of EMDR with complex cases. In 2021, we began the journey to take our unique approach out of our IFS/EMDR practice and consultations to enhance EMDR therapists' professional growth on a larger scale.

We are dedicated to empowering EMDR therapists with a deeper understanding of IFS Informed therapy. Our focus is on equipping EMDR therapists with advanced, practical skills to integrate IFS and EMDR protocols seamlessly. Embodying compassion as IFS trained and EMDR therapists, we hope to create a safe space to be vulnerable, fostering collaborative learning that feels playful and authentic.

We embrace a curious and connected approach to training, ensuring that our modules are inclusive and accessible for all professionals. With a grounded yet ambitious spirit, we help participants refine their skills in supporting clients through complex trauma and mental health challenges to access increased self energy and enjoyment in life.

Our work is not only about increasing knowledge, but also about accessing creativity in EMDR therapy, bringing Self Energy to the EMDR process, and fostering an attuned and sensitive approach that values the uniqueness of each person. We aim to create a collaborative and open learning environment where participants are quick to laugh and feel supported as they grow.

Join us in this playful yet professional journey, and become part of a community of soul sisters committed to transforming lives and healing trauma.
